I need a solution
Rman backup tape expired in netbackup catalog as the retention was only 1 month.
Media id were identified and recalled from offsite
Helpful to get some clarifications on the following
1. Does successful recall of Media id EA1234 from offsite mean that the tape has not been overwritten? Say if had been reused and overwritten, does the Media id change and could not have been recalled successfully as Media id EA1234?
2. Can the expired Media imported into nebackup catalog (Phase 1 and Phase 2) and rman restore could be done given that rman catalog still has the information?
3. if rman/netbackup were to backup to the same tape again later in future, would it generate the same Media id EA1234?
