I need a solution

Hello,

We recently installed the DD Boost option on our backup network.  Under the device tab, we see the storage device that houses the backup files.  We are trying to locate where the actual file resides.  For example when we set up our backup-to-disk folder, we give it a path where the actual .bkf file resides.  The only information that I could locate was on the media server C:\program files\symantec\Backup Exec\Logs\Devices.  The files are only 1KB in size and the name shows as filename_read_block_limit.

Additionally we ran some test jobs.  The subsquent job is picking up the old data and the new data.  From what we understand if the initial job was say 14,000,000,000 bytes and we add a 500,000,000 byte file, the subsequent backup should only be 500,000,000 in size and not 14,500,000,000.  I have the job pointing to the deduplication for the initial full run and subsequent run. I included an attachment.  Hope it helps.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated

William
