Liveupdate doesn't remove install files when finished..

Does anyone know if this is by design or if there's a way to get rid of them.  

When upgrading via Liveupdate from 7.1 to 7.5.0.4 this equates to leaving approx 750mb of files sitting on servers - this add up to alot when rolling out to 1000s of servers.
