Better option to configure SQL backups into Data Domain

NetBackup version : 7.1.0.4

DD boost 2.1.x and DD VTL

Which is the best option to configure SQL server (with huge data  around 1 TB)backups in NetBackup (Windows )environment.

Option 1 : Configure SQL server as SAN media server and take the backup directly into DD VTL

Option 2:  Enable ddboost option in one of the media servers and configure SQL backups

Option 3 : Configure NFS/CIFS advance file type device in DD and take the backup of SQL servers

Let us know if there is any other better solution. We want less backup window and should not get any performance issue with SQL (we usually get high CPU, memory utilization alerts).
