We are having issues with netbackup 7.1.0.4 being able to backups VMware machines with VCenter over the SAN.

We are having issues with netbackup 7.1.0.4 being able to backups VMware machines with VCenter over the SAN. We have zoneed the Datastore LUNS to the VM Backup Host (media server) and we have set the policy to  backup using " Mapped full VM backup" ; "Transfer type : SAN", but the job details shows transport type as "LAN" and so the backups are very slow. 

 

More details :

 

Job's status: "1: (0) the request operation was successfully completed". Don't appear any error.

 

Netbackup version : 7.1.0.4

 

Netbackup Master Server - version : 7.1.0.4  (RHEL 5.4 64 bit)

 

Netbackup Media server e Vmware Backup Host: 7.1.0.4  (Windows 2003 Standard R2 64 bit )

 

Vcenter server version : 5.1 U1

 

ESX version : 5.0 U1

 

Datastore VMFS5 is set for the datastores.

 

 

 

Has anyone face this problem ?
